Is your phone ready for an eSIM?

Search a current device catalog and learn the two checks that matter: eSIM hardware support and an unlocked phone.

Quick check

Look for an EID

Dial *#06# or open your phone settings. An EID is a strong sign that eSIM is built in.

Confirm it is unlocked

A carrier-locked phone may reject another provider’s eSIM even when the model supports the technology.

Find the EID

Dial *#06# or check Settings. If an EID appears, the phone contains an eSIM module.

2

Check carrier lock

Confirm that the device is unlocked. Model compatibility does not remove a network lock.

3

Choose your plan

Once both checks pass, select a Giga plan for your destination and install it before departure.

Compatibility questions

Does every version of a listed phone support eSIM?

Not always. Regional editions, especially devices made for specific markets, can have different SIM hardware. Check for an EID on the exact device.

Can a carrier-locked phone use a travel eSIM?

Usually not until the carrier unlocks it. eSIM capability and carrier-unlocked status are separate requirements.

Why can’t I see “Add eSIM” in settings?

The setting name differs by brand, software version and region. Update the phone, search Settings for “SIM” or “EID,” and confirm the exact model with its manufacturer.

The model names are refreshed from a public compatibility reference and presented in Giga’s own interface and wording. Device makers and carriers remain the final authority for regional variants.
